Yellow is the colour of 2009.

Yellow was, without a doubt, the "it" color of 2008. All through spring and summer, everything worth wearing -- from trendy teen gear to fashion-forward formalwear -- was a little sunnier than in years past. Now, despite the daily onslaught of gloomy news from financial types, it seems a cheerful color palette may reign supreme through 2009 as well. "Mimosa" (a shade of yellow) has been branded the "color of the year" by Pantone -- the company that provides color standards to the design industry.

And, at least according to their spring '09 collections, it seems designers (and the celebrities who wear their clothes) agree -- but the question is: Will you wear it?

Abaeté Spring 2009

Best illustrated by the abundant flowers of the Mimosa tree and the sparkle of the brilliantly hued cocktail, the 2009 color of the year represents the hopeful and radiant characteristics associated with the color yellow. Mimosa is a versatile shade that coordinates with any other color, has appeal for men and women, and translates to both fashion and interiors. Look for women’s accessories, home furnishings, active sportswear and men’s ties and shirts in this vibrant hue.

Wishlist...

I'm hoping that someone would grant them... someone who'll be my benefactor and sponsor as well? Hahaha For those who wants to... don't be shy... let me know, message me on how you want to send it to me hahaha!!!

I want a pet as well!!! My bestfriend (Negerz) is gonna be having a Toy Poodle next week. Yeah! I know it would be a conjugal property since we live in the same house. However, I want my own (it's the inggetera in me) hehehe. So that chuchal! When I have my mine already I will name it Dolce or Gabbana or Gucci. Don't you love the names? hehehe... I'm thinking of other alternatives as well like goldfishes, or a cat (susyal cat ok?!) probably. However, I don't like to buy I believe that there would be someone that will give me one as a gift (hahahah! Ambitious!).

I want to inspire and motivate myself and others. I believe that it's best if you go older, you are becoming a better person. I've noticed that most of the old people nowadays are rude. Un nga habang tumatanda papangit ng papangit ugali. It shouldn't be the case since our life on earth is getting shorter it's best to make a big difference and touch lives (or make them appereciate your existence). Isn't that Sweet?!...

I love to cook and experiment that's why next year, I want to master the art of cooking...any cook book will do.

Next year I would definitely treat myself in a vacation (love travelling!) and would make sure that i'll enjoy it...Ahhh... relaxing...

After a year of hard work, don't you think we deserve these kind of treats?

I really love those sneakers nowadays. I think it would be nice to have more cool and trendy sneakers in additions to the one's I have.

Bags, bags, bags...bags are not just for women anymore and they're really cool nowadays, though it's really hard to find those bags that is not so gay. I would like to have a big bag so, everytime I go to the Philippines (Pampanga) it would be convinient and useful...

I want this gift beacause it's really hard to buy cheap chains for necklaces that wouldn't tarnish unless ofcourse if it's expensive and they are really expensive like 2k+ PHP Never!! I bought some in Hong Kong last April they lasted for like a year only but it's worth th eprice though..but I still might...

Now..., this is controversial... hehehe sorry I don't want to put it in here why like it! (The real reason behind this wish..) Chicklet... Hahahah!!!

This is my ultimate dream! hehehe. It's my ambition to have my own chandelier in my room though, it's not that hard to achieve again I love the idea (susyal lang!) hehe and I think I have this thing when it comes to shiny and sparkling things anything that shines I love it!! There was this time that I was addicted to buy rings that has big colourful stones on it I find them classy and susyal eh! (that's the social climber in me! bwahahaha!!

Britney in Japan!

Yes! Britney is back on track!

Britney is now on tour. They said while tours are difficult for many, for Britney, they have been "a little exhausting" in the past.

"This kind of tour is a very difficult, isolating thing. You go from city to city, it's a huge production. It could prove to very difficult for her. We'll see what happens."

Just two weeks after nearly falling out of a plunging black dress at her 27th birthday, Britney Spears is stepping out in another revealing outfit.

The pop star performed her hit Womanizer in a black and gold bra, white top hat and black satin hotpants on a Japanese TV show.

In recent weeks, Britney has performed an identical routine to Womanizer in France, Germany, the U.S. and on Britain's X Factor.

Watch the video of Britney's Japanese performance >>> here.

"Iskul Bukol 20 Years After: Ungasis and Escaleras Adventure": was immediately approved by the MMFF jurors. The title was changed to "Escalera and Ungasis: 20 Years After," which will reunite the main characters for the first time since the original TV series. The movie will take place in Cambodia.

Tagasa already agreed to reprise her role as Miss Tapia and so did Anthony Roquel (as Tonette Macho). The role of Mang Temy however may be retired as a tribute to cast member Bing Angeles who passed away in 2001.

The movie's title was changed again in order to gain strong audience recall, owing its large fanbase to people who grew up in the '70s and '80s watching the TV show.

Rekindling the excitement of the '60s, '70s, '80s, and 90's.

Today, I was so bored and don't know what to do so I did surf the net and came across and thought of my childhood years. I would say that I'm a "Batang Kalye". I'm one of those type of kids that plays at school during recess and free time then, after school sa neighbourhood naman and will go home late...

I remembered playing pogs, text, tetching, hide and seek (Zak-Bang!), part 1 and part 2, chinese garter, follow the leader, luksong baka, tumbang preso (tambubong), maro at a lot lot lot mooore....hehehe

It's really funny reminiscing all this stuffs. hahaha talga! How about your favourite kids shows? like my favourites are Sailormoon (hehehe), Ultraman, Magma man, Maskman, Mask Raider Black, Bioman, Shaider, basta lahat ng my Mask at may man (ofcourse I love men!) hehehe...then Peter Pan, Heidi, patrash, Cedi (ang munting principe), Sarah, tsaka yung tagalinis ng chimeniya (I forgot the name eh..).

How about the kids stuff (apparels and toys)? like the big bag with a wall clock on it? hahaha.. I remembered, ang dami kong goma (rubber bands), tex cards, jolens (marbles), game and watch, brick games, family computers, action figures, barbie (meron talga! well.. sa ate ko yun pero cyempre inaangkin ko yun.(conjugal property namin yun hehehe)).

I've noticed that kids nowadays are really different. It's very seldom that you see kids on the streets playing ( I don't know probably sa province meron pa..) but I don't see them anymore. You know it is advisable to let kids play it's their right and privelage at the same time (heheh).

I would say that I had a very exciting, colourful, and funny memories of my childhood...

Well, if you want more articles and stories, I found this site >>>nostalgia manila. It is really cool and funny. The memories will flashback ng sunod- sunod...

The 2008 Miss Young International Scam...

Let me give you a background:

This successful pageant was held in Japan (1970-79), the Philippines (1980-81) and South Korea (1983). Many women who went on to international success in Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Hawaiian Tropic and other contests had their so-called “start” here.

This pageant was born in Tokyo Japan in 1970 alongside with the prestigious one other International Beauty Pageant. Although it had been held in Japan for more than 10 years, the pageant travelled to the Philippines in 1980 and 1981 respectively in 1983 Korea and Latvia in 2002.

Due to high cost of the hosting of the pageant, the organizers decided to cancel its hosting and concentrate on their mother pageant and its officially close its existence in 1983. In October 2006 the Elite Productions International Company acquires the ownership of the pageant and re-launch it in Manila, Philippines . The Organization is hosting the pageant worldwide in Taipei, Taiwan Republic of China this October.

Miss Young International

For its fifteen years in service to the world, the Miss Young International Beauty Pageant is not only a beauty pageant search and presentation of the most beautiful young women worldwide. It also served as the meeting grounds to delegates in helping the less fortunate people around the world specially the children who are in deep poverty.

One of the main objectives of this pageant is to help increase awareness on the issues about children, poverty and violence against children worldwide.

Charities and more:

Starting last year, the celebration of this pageant is done worldwide. With increasing numbers of delegates competing for the prestigious crown. The winner to this title will embark her year reign in visiting different charity organization worldwide, especially the poorest country wherein poverty and lack of education is very rampant.

As Ambassadress of beauty with a purpose, the winner uses her title to help different charity organizations for children. The scope of providing them the best education, personal and physical awareness and services that will bring them realized that there is still hope for this world.

The Delegates:

One major purpose of this pageant is to build up a strong friendship with all the delegates regardless of their nationality, language, religion, customs and traditions. It will also give them good experiences that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. This will help them become good citizens in their respective countries. An Ambassadress of Goodwill and a true champion of Service to charities.

The Crown:

In October 2006 the Elite Productions International Company acquires the ownership of the pageant and re-launch it in Manila, Philippines. The Organization is hosting the pageant worldwide in Taipei, Taiwan Republic of China this October.

Miss Young International

The winner of Miss Young International is chosen through the Beauty Pageant not simply as a "Champion of Beauty with a Purpose". She is chosen with beauty, talent and the strong ability to help other people, supported by her intelligence and ability to take action, in addition to possessing a "great international sensibility" appropriate for the ultimate representative of all the national representatives who are trying to achieve contributions to international society. Miss Young International is officially called "Charities of Beauties and Style”.

Organizer:

The Elite Productions International Company is equip with new breeds of talent in today’s new generation. The company is in line with events managements in the Philippines. It also covers International events worldwide in the field of fashions, Charity Gala, Expositions and events marketing.

Only last year the re-launching of the MISS YOUNG INTERNATIONAL Beauty Pageant gives the Company a genuine recognition and respect despite of negatives publicity by its detractors. The 2006 event shares its own success in the field of beauty pageant. The true bearing of style and Charity work lies in the hands of the entire organization and its supporters in bringing the best of its journey to success

The 2008 Scam/ Scandal:

• PAGEANT FROM HELL : Mark Ancheta, the organizer and self-proclaimed president of the revived Miss Young International pageant, has once again unleashed his powers of deception in the third edition of the pageant that is taking place in the Philippines. Alicia Michioka Jones, a former Miss Hawaii USA and the national director for Miss Young Hawaii and Miss Young USA, wrote to me yesterday to share some information that she had gathered from her two representatives who - along with the remaining contestants - are literally being held hostage by Ancheta. The pageant is so bad that several girls have already returned home. Jones gives the following report:

"The girls actually wanted to be there for the competion but left because it became no longer safe for them to be there. It was confirmed that Mark tried to take their passports, then tried to keep them there at all cost! Because Mark is using this pageant as a front to exploit the girls and make money off them by booking dinners and practically using them as escorts! When they finally were able to leave, they had to be escorted out by government officials who were Americans from the Embassy! Even then, they still tried to keep them there! They confirmed that the lines had been tampered with and they had been cut off of communication via phone in the hotel, Internet and pre-paid Philippines cell phone. With all the terrorism in the world, the girls were never given any reason to feel secure or safe. It was clear that there was going to be no prize money. Mark has year after year cheated the winners from their promised money. It was not worth it for the girls to stay there and compete for a $25 crown and spray painted banner! It wasn't worth it to stay and see if they would fall victim of something more!"

I wanted to find out more details about Ancheta's misdeeds so I called Alicia last night and spoke to her for over half an hour. Alicia picked up the phone, and I introduced myself. Alicia mentioned the following:

- the Internet votes have generated approximately US$150,000 in revenue, and that Ancheta is obviously using the pageant to make money

- Ancheta took the girls outside of Manila and into the province of Nueva Ecija so he could present the girls to the mayors and businessmen (presumably for sexual favors)

- Miss Ukraine and Miss Belarus were so fed up with the lousy treatment that they decided to leave the pageant (and when the other girls inquired why their two fellow contestants had left, Ancheta told them that "they were arrested" - which was a big lie)

- the accomodations outside Manila were substandard, the girls slept in mattresses infested with termites and bedbugs and covered with blood-stained sheets and they had to relieved themselves in buckets

- Miss Hawaii and Miss USA's titleholder sashes were confiscated and replaced by cheap, stenciled banners

- Miss Venezuela was informed that she could not leave the pageant because she had signed a contract that would prevent her from leaving the pageant before it was over (which is entirely false, as no such clause is found in the contract)

- that there was dissension even among Ancheta's staff; the quarreling became so intense that the staff broke up into two camps - one consisting of loyalists to Ancheta, and another consisting of followers of a certain "Roland" who had met Ancheta less than a month ago

- some of the girls, including Misses Hawaii and USA, were told that they would not make the finals because they had chosen not to go out with the group and participate in "absurd" events

- that the mother of Miss Bahamas, a wealthy woman, would suck up to Ancheta by paying for some of the expenses

- when the girls finally returned to Manila, they were kept in their hotel for two days without any planned activities and that their passports were confiscated

- Ancheta's staff had keys to all the girls' rooms, and some of them suspected that their room might have been bugged

- Ancheta would hysterically laugh at the girls if they got involved in a quarrel

- the mother of Miss Philippines felt so embarrassed by Ancheta and his staff's arrogance and unprofessionalism that she came up to the mothers of Misses Hawaii and USA to apologize (subsequently, a staff member warned the mother of Miss Philippines that she was forbidden to talk to others

and so forth, and so on...

It's interesting to note that the official MYI website has been "temporarily unavailable" for nearly two weeks now, which implies a couple of things: first, that Ancheta had not paid his Internet service provider, or second, that he intentionally shut it down to avoid publicity. A pageant organizer that does not share information with the public has definitely something to hide. Alicia also said that last Friday the contestants complained to the Philippine police about the mistreatment that Ancheta had been giving them, but the police remained nonchalant to the situation. The girls suspect that the police had been bribed by Ancheta to work for him, The finals of the pageant was supposed to have been held Monday night, but I have been cruising the Internet looking for information but I could not find any. We'll find out sooner or later.

I feel very much for Alicia and for all the national directors who had been conned by a smooth-talking and sly serpent who exploits young women and shatters their chances of winning a beauty crown. Unfortunately, Ancheta will continue with his ugly deeds as long as there are gullible people out there who will take his bait, or until he is apprehended by honest authorities and jailed.

My Starbucks 2009 planner...

Yeheeey! I have my Starbucks 2009 planner already... I got the red one at first I wanted the black one but decided to have the red one. I will make my life more organize this year and try to set and achieve and set priorities and set goals. hehehe! (I Hope and will try my best...)

Did you know? that the color Red has more personal associations than any other color. Recognized as a stimulant red is inherently exciting and the amount of red is directly related to the level of energy perceived. Red draws attention and a keen use of red as an accent can immediately focus attention on a particular element.

How the color red effects us mentally and physically
* Increases enthusiasm
* Stimulates energy
* Encourages action and confidence
* A sense of protection from fears and anxiety

Is Your Man Or Boyfriend Gay???

The only way to know if your man is gay is by asking him about his sexuality and sexual history. These are just a few signs provided to us by women who found out they had gay partners. Go through the pictures to see what we were told by some of our female users. None of the following is to be taken as gospel, and our wish is not to offend but enlighten and entertain.

>The Bathroom Rituals
Ladies pay attention to how meticulous he is when he’s grooming. The average straight man could care less about what brand or type of products he uses. If your man is concerned about this – watch him. Another warning sign is the time he spends inside the bathroom. If he takes longer than you do, that may be a sign that he’s batting for the other team.

>The Beauty Pageant Obsession
If your man is fascinated with the beauty and glamour of pageants, you should be seriously concerned. If he can tell you what year actress Kenya Moore was crowned Miss USA and the sista who wore the crown before her, then be afraid, very afraid.

>The Hot Guys on his MySpace/Friendster
One of the most definitive signs that your boyfriend is gay is that there are some male strangers in his MySpace/Friendster list of friends or contacts. If you have never seen these men or you don’t know whether they are your boyfriend’s friends in person, they might just have had their communication online. An average straight guy won’t view a profile of a man he doesn’t know personally, much less add him to his list of contacts.

>The Diva Fascination
If your man has a lot Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand and Miss Ross, the Boss, in his CD collection, and let’s not forget Cher, then you could have a diva on your hands. And if he sings their songs in falsetto – watch him.

>The Shifty Eyes
Ever notice your man’s eye wandering from one guy to the next? The next time you two are at the mall or walking around a place where there are some hott guys, you might want to check to see if he notices the same hott guys you notice. If you catch him, um, your man just might be gay.

>The Oprah Quotes
Is he always quoting Oprah or talking about how Oprah did something amazing? Okay, Oprah is not gay, but many gay people love her.

>The Fashion Compliments
The ladies love the compliments, but if your man tells you he likes the way your top matches your skin or how fierce your boots are, instead of saying, “you look beautiful,” you might just have a gay partner. Oh, if he’s particularly interested in top designer shoes and other accessories, um, here again, you may have a gay man.

>The Downright Gay-bashing
Gay people hiding inside the closet are usually very vocal about their distaste and hatred for gay men. They don’t want to be caught or be suspected of being gay, so they would cover their true identity by blatantly expressing their rage against gay men. They also tend to overdo this; thus, they become harsh gay-bashers. If your boyfriend is like that, then he might be gay. As one adage goes, the greatest homophobe is gay.
